On a hill over looking a
valley just south of the US/Mexico border lays an orphanage. Just outside of the
hustle and bustle of the city, and just in view of the beauty of the fields and
farms sits Rancho San Juan Bosco, situated between the world of tomorrow and the
world of yesterday. For 20 years Rancho San Juan Bosco (RSJB) has been a place
of refuge for over 1200 children who have been abused, neglected or otherwise
abandoned by their families and their society.
Placed on the threshold of the United States, Tecate has unfortunately become a “dumping ground” of sorts, when parents seeking a new life in the US leave behind their young children to live on the streets and raise themselves. RSJB reaches out to these children providing them with a safe home, a top rate education, mentorship, but most of all a family.

RSJB is a unique program in Mexico
because they go the extra mile to insure that the boys have the best possibility
for success. They supplement their education with 3 hours of additional in house
classes, music programs, in house medical assistance and individualized
treatment to help every child prosper at RSJB and to help to re unify them their
families through classes on child rearing and counseling.
